hey guys. so i found an asus hd 5450 silent graphics card. i don't know how to install it, though. it fits in the spot where it goes but the part where all the ports come out is blocked off by like a little strip of metal (idk how to explain it). so how can i remove this? or will it just not work with my computer?
what looks like the strip of metal: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] its like those little strip thingys at the bottom of the computer

How do I install a video card?

Open side panel of case.
Take off the PCI brackets with a screwdriver ( those metal strip things as you'd say ).
Insert card in appropriate PCIE 16 x slot.
Screw it in.
Insert power connectors if applicable ( 5450 has none ).
Close side panel.
Turn on PC.
Download latest drivers.
Play games.

How much of a performance difference you'd see from going from on-board to the lowest end video card out there is questionable. Just a heads up.

Don't forget to plug in the Video cables to the graphics card after you do what Generation said...

Yeah, it is but I've seen it to where someone will ask me why their new Card isn't working because they switched from integrated graphics to a card and never plugged the DVI into the card. I was just reminding him. haha
