How about, you be different from every other skilled out there and go with the bare minimum. Not only does it look good, it's easy on the weight - that way you can run more while skilling.

If you've got some combat skills I'd adze spottier cape, boots of lightness and agile clothing. That's what I wear while skilling and I'm Lv.131 - it doesn't really matter what you look like aslong as you're getting the benefits. If you think about it, aside from you who really cares what your character looks like?
