itsMichael wrote IMO, don't bother with a sound card unless you're not buying any type of headset/headphones.
Well typically most motherboards don't have 7.1 implemented so a sound card is ideal if you prefer surround sound.

VEVO wrote Pretty nice. I'm a little iffy on that power supply though. All my research says it's total crap and its efficiency percentage is under 80% which is total crap. NEVER cheap out on the PSU. It's what powers everything inside and if it goes out it takes your components along with it. And as for RAM, I really don't think 16 GB is necessary if all you do is gaming. 8 GB is plenty.

Ok ye the PSU is cheap and fro what you said i might spend a lot more money and time in my research into finding a good one
thanks
Some brands I recommend are Corsair, Cooler Master, Thermaltake, Antec. There's a few more but these are the more obvious ones.

Most motherboards do have on board 7.1 with optical out. Low end sound cards are flooded with driver issues and unless you're an audiophile, it'd be more wise if you spent that towards a different component.

Yeah most of the time is the onboard audio good enough.

No. If you seriously think either is bad, you're an idiotic fanboy. AMD is better at certain price points and Intel is as well. AMD CPUs thrive for some applications. AMDs recent release has been a flop, though. The Phenoms were, well, phenomenal. They still are at certain price points.
