Since I hate input delay (most LCD/LED monitors have 2ms-5ms delay time) I game on a CRT monitor, which is a 1994 Micron 15 inch CRT monitor. All CRT monitors have zero delay what so ever.
I believe these are superior including that they don't require as much anti-aliasing and have better colors and black/white levels.
This is what I use:

The max resolution is 1280 x 1024 @ 75-85hz

alot of old school pros use them but since have upgraded to a certain benQ monitor that they use on the circuit its 1200hz and has very little delay like under 1ms

Nah, I am not that serious a gamer. I don't even notice a 2ms delay. Surprised anyone can really.

Good god, that's an old monitor.

I have one, but its in my attic somewhere, collecting dust. I'll stick to the one I'm using now.

I'd love to get my hands on a Sony Trinitron FW900. CRT is in theory the better technology and when you get a good CRT monitor, it's like no other.

To get this monitor, would I have to search deep into the interwebulars for? I'm very interested in purchasing one of these monitors.

People say the FW900 is probably the best monitor to buy for gaming since it's widescreen with a very high resolution and it is CRT, but it costs 600-1000$ on ebay. Only 2 are for sale on ebay

No, you can go to a local thrift store and pick one up for about 10-20$ but most have issues like a bad ray tube or the non-detachable vga cable breaks.
