I believe they were implemented in this patch on the pc. Anyone know for sure?

Emeralds haven't even been released on the PC unless you count snapshots.

No go look in the news section for a list of items gained and bugs fixed. Emerald is only in the snap shots. It wont be out for atleast a couple of months.

Diamonds are emeralds.
