I need help i have went to the bed rock and went 4 blocks back up now i have made a room 64x57 and nothing has spawned yet i have put down plenty of torches to light up the area but not too many. Am i doing something wrong?. Please PM me because i am going off this site for an or or so.

They only spawn on a 16x16 space, even if you built a 50x50 space they'd still only spawn on a 16x16 area inside of that.

Then why does my friends Slime Farm that is 50x50 get more Slime than those who have 20x20 or 35x35?

I know. I dont understand either. If there's more space and they spawn in a 16x16 area shouldnt more spawn in your farm of its bigger? :|

Making more space isn't gonna do anything since slime can spawn even on a 1x1x2 or 2x2x2 or 3x3x3 that's if your in a slime chunk so making more space won't just make more slime appear in different places, they would just only spawn in that 16x16 area.

The whole area of that picture is 48x48 blocks.

Slimes are only able to spawn in the middle which is the 16x16 space, NO SLIMES will spawn anywhere else.

You're wasting space and time making it bigger, you don't get more slimes. You think you get more because the spawn rates are random.
