No, its the CPU, because its two cores.

Minecraft is a single core game but it's worth buying a quad core so you're set for anything else and obviously for the PC itself.

An i3-2100 will be a better CPU option (with the proper 1155 motherboard too) because the FX series is the wrong choice 98% of the time. For gaming, 100% of the time. Like Ant said, you'd be better off with fewer stronger cores for this game in particular. More cores =/= More better!

I am on a mac which only has 4gb of ram, and it runs mc like a dream!
