I'd say the Slim because I have had both and prefer the Slim myself, it looks nicer and is less likely to get RROD, it also isn't as loud as the Elite AND you also get really nice custom Slim packages, for example the Star Wars or MW3 pack's but it is completely up to you.

Basically, I HIGHLY recommend you get a Slim and if you are looking for a really nice custom painted controller, private message me and I'll send you to a REALLY cheap, really good business who perfect their controller's..!

it doesnt really matter id go elite cause there cheaper and easier to fix if they break wich they probably wont and have as much memory as a slim or get the halo 4 slim

It can get rrod ,but it's more rare. My old slim's power brick got a red light. Which meant it was practically dead and I had to get a new console.

Slim because it more new. It has touch sensitive buttons on the console. The fan is more effective than the elite. It's quieter for sure. It has an internal hard drive which is the only downfall. You can't do transfer cable mods only USB mods. It is also harder to open the slim if you want to modify it in any way. Well I recommend the slim over the elite.

I would get a slim because its a 250Gb hard drive and its has built in wifi so you dont need a ethanet cord to get online. It gets no red rings of death has a better cooling system also quieter, also has 5 Usb ports and is kinect ready. and its smaller and glossy also touch sensitvy.
