DR0PSH0TZz wrote you are all posting opinions on here with no facts this i think is wrong and you are leading the person who posted this the wrong way.
Anyway in my opinion you should get the 2011 mac and heres why -
1 - it will have better software updates and also support on your problems if you had any.
2 - the newer hardware will be better than if you bought a 2007 mac which will probably not be able to run any applications that you would use
now to get on with my rant -
You people who say macs are bad they are not and heres proof.
With windows you are given an OS which yes i admit is given security updates but ones that are no where near as good as OSx security updates
Windows is ridden with viruses new ones coming every day and infecting thousands
I sit here on a windows computer custom built by myself and i seriously would debat eon handing my computer in and getting a mac because of the OS stabilization and other things that people buy a mac for. People dont buy mac's to play games you ignorant dumbasses there is more to do with life than game. Macs are used in life for businesses or as computers that students will use to study with.
Please consider what you think before you post.
Thanks i hope you enjoy your mac btw!
New OSX releases break things and happen more often. Makes maintaining a server or developer environment a pain. Neither has better updates and I've used them both side-by-side. Moot point.
If you think Macs are suitable business-class computers, you're crazy. They're an absolute IT nightmare and create divisions that make everything more complex. I'm not even going to get into durability or design. $2,000 Facebook machine. "Facebook" is a broad term for casual tasks.
If you actually think malware is an issue, stop lying to yourself. Run a program and it's gone if you have one. Common Sense 2012 is free and comes with every human. I've taken it upon myself to use a lot of AV tools and programs just for the experience and come up with nothing. I just use my stock install of CS 2012!

Ha ha ha it is not long ago that thousands of mac's got infected with a virus.
2nd when you buy windows you get all the updates for FREE, OSx update you'll have to pay to screw things up, great deal isn't it? And who cares windows has viruses? if you buy a pc you still can afford a premium anti-virus.

Generation wrote You shouldn't get any, they're all overpriced trash.
There not trash. There really nice, just way overpriced, but diffidently not trash. When it comes to mobile stuff I actually like apple. There laptops are really good and their ipods/ipad is really nice too. Im not an apple fanboy in anyway. I do have an ipod but lets be honest who doesn't these days. Now if your talking about desktop's then building one or getting a pc is the way to go because their desktops in all honesty are not that great, except for the all in one computers were the computer is in the monitor. Those I think are pretty cool and better then any windows all in one computer I have seen.

Don't buy a mac! Use the money and build a PC yourself. They're easier to upgrade and you get more for your money

dont buy a mac, they are not a good bang for your buck, just build a computer with an quad core intel core i5, 8gb of ram and a radeon graphics card with a corsair power supply and it will cost around $600

why is it that whenever someone mentions an interest in getting a mac, theres always such emotional responses???
its like getting a harley as opposed to a sport bike, they do the same thing but in a different style.
almost no one here seemed to even read the op, he listed out 6 options but of course people start giving out unrelated, unsolicited advice going away from the original question.
Given the choices, i would think any of the 2011's would be best, all it comes down to is whether you need a desktop or something mobile
