I have just bought a Slim RGH triple nanded Xbox from pirate and want to know..
On retail nand, can I update the Xbox threw Xbox live?? Or do I have to reflash nand to latest update?? I know for the RGH and TX fusion I have to but for retail I don't know...

Okay, I don't know too much about Multiple nand's on a console, but I am drived to believe that you should never update on the modified NAND (JTAG/RGH), only update on the retail NAND, and if there is a update that patches the RGH for slims, don't update.

I know for the demon chip you can just update but the matrix I'm not sure about I think you have to manually update it

Yes, the stock nand is ok to update via xbox live. If you do it manually you may run into problems which will result in the console getting banned.
