who ever told you that is lieing because you can do it on easy also. all i play on is easy and i get slime spawning

Did you put down lights?
Did you put difficulty on EASY or up?
Did you see Slimes spawning in the Tutorial?
Make sure the caves around you are NOT lighted up ok.
And make sure you ARE not near the Slime spawner ok

Heres how its REALLY done.

Dig down all the way to Bedrock. They spawn below the lowest 40 layers. But I prefer all the way down to bedrock area for it to work guarantee.
Start expanding it around. Doesnt matter what the Length and Width is, just make sure it is a BIG Bedrock Cavern area. Make it at least 4-5 High.
Now, they wont spawn instantly, so you need to have patience. Go back to the surface, go to your shelter, lock yourself in there (not lock but close doors and whatnot so no monsters can hurt you) and find something to do because believe me, they take a good amount of time for them to spawn. Join parties, do something to kill time. They could spawn about 30 mins. I waited an hour or 2.
Now, after 30 mins or 1-2 hours is done, go back down and check to see if slimes appeared. If not, keep trying and wait. If so, congrats! Now Duplicate so you dont have to hassle with slimes ever again...

this is what i did,

I dug down to bedrock, watch out for lava , and dug back up 5 blocks and went to the slime finder [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] and dug the area that it told me to dig. i had about four chunks around me so i dug about 100x100 well actually i used TNT xD then i waited about 30 minutes and bam i saw like 3 giant slimes and 2 medium ones, u dont have to be away from the chuncks for them to spawn. although it does help to increase the speed. Make sure u put the torches to light up the room in the ceiling or on the walls. Your room has to be lit up or slimes wont spawn :] Hope i Helped! please leave feedback <3 :2thumbsup:

Oh i forgot to tell you you dont have to Mine out that big of an area! its very time consuming.
