Solution: More good samaritans that are armed would stop any criminal with bad intentions.

If someone at that Theater in Aurora, Colorado was armed besides the man who killed all those people then he most likely would've have been killed or shot before many more people were hurt.

It'll never happen. It's in our rights as US citizens. Right to bear arms.

But you got to keep in mind that the US is about 40 times bigger than the UK and things are different here. Law wise anyways. So if you to 40 times 200 it equals to 8000. So the UK is pretty much equal to the US with deaths by guns.

That's wishful thinking. He was heavily armored, the room was full of smoke, disorientation would be a factor as would panic, people aren't heroes, and he would probably concentrate his fire on any opposition. There's also nothing but visual cover in a theatre and the handgun round would not penetrate his armor.

More people die from drowning in pools than they do by getting shot.

And CNN is very lenient towards Gun Control. I'm not saying that statistic is false though.

I'm afraid your wrong. In the UK, You can have a Firearm, But only Farmers are entitled to them to protect there Territory. But there is a few shootings that persist in the UK as some Londoners have access to the black market, Though if you are caught with a firearm, Expect heavily armed S.W.A.T Teams to break down your door and give you a staggering 8-10 Years in jail.

If people were used to guns like they are around here (and had a gun with them), I can guarantee you that guy would not walk out of that theater alive. Bullet proof vests only protect you so much. The impact of the bullet would be nonlethal, but still has some nice damage. After about one or two shots he will be down and easy pickings after that. True, people may not be heroes, but they know when they are in trouble. When in trouble the gun comes out, simple. People may be disoriented, but they know where the person is creating trouble. People had the frame of mind to jump in front of their loved ones, a gun would have added to protecting themselves.
