I just got a turtle beach x42 headset for my bday, i cant speak! xbox recognize it as its plugged in but i cant speak, i can hear the buttons click and the game noise, if someone can help it would be thankfull

I'm going to assume you have tried to disconnect and then reconnect it correct?

im pretty sure they come with the microphone switched on mute..switch it off if so.. if not go return it

Yeah if you try everything it's generally hardware issues, so unless you can fix it yourself return it

Yeah what he said. I haven't heard of them doing that before, maybe just a defective model.

it its wirelessly connected to the controller is the reciver plugged into the controller PAIRED to the headset
Nvm i just looked yours is wired

unplug the cable that goes from your Xbox to the controller and plug it back ihoped it helped if it dint than bring it back
