I know this may be long, but PLEASE read the whole thing. We honestly don't know what else to do.
So here's what happened to our Zephyr JTAG
A few months ago we put in some solderless LEDs, and instantly got E79. So we went back to the guy we got it from and he re-flashed it and we were fine. About a week ago the JTAG was at my friend's house, and it got e79 again.
This is what he says he did: He downloaded that pnet thing from g-tuts right when reach was being leaked. (thats the thing where you run it when you're UN-BANNED and it downloads Reach from the marketplace.) The JTAG was BANNED, but he decided to run it anyways. Obviously, it didn't work. Then, he put the LEDs back in, and they worked. He then deleted some banned profiles from the harddrive and turned the JTAG off to switch harddrives, and when he turned it back on it e79'd again.
Today I took it to a guy I found on craigslist to get it fixed. He first tried just flasing our original updflash.bin back to the JTAG, but it didn't work. So then he took our original NAND dump and re-wrote XBR and flashed it back. It worked, but once he turned it off and back on it e79'ed. He tried that again and the same thing happened. Then, he re-did our JTAG wiring and then re-flashed our original nand with XBR written on it. And again, the same thing happened. He then tried using freeboot instead of xbr and still, the same thing happened. However, when he just flashed our regular pre-nxe nand back to the console it worked fine.
So WTF is going on and what do I need to do to get it to work again? I've had Reach downloaded on my computer for a long time now and its annoying not being able to play it...

The same thing happened to my Zephyer Jtag. I will keep you posted on what I plan to do to fix mine. I didn't have the solderless LEDs though. Does yours boot into Xell?

Check the Jtag wiring as E79 is usually down to bad wiring, cold solder joints, etc. Also you can try using a 330ohm resistor instead of a jumper wire.
