Before you get started, you need the following
SD card or SDHC formatted as FAT16 or FAT32
System Menu 4.3 (anything lower will NOT work)
Your Wiis WiFi MAC Address
A way to copy the files from your Computer to the SD card
Some homebrew software to load (Optional & Recommended)

Instructions
On Computer: If there is a folder titled "private" on your SD card, rename it to privateold
On Computer: Copy the private directory from the [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] to the root of your SD card.
On Computer: Take your homebrew (preferably Hackmii Installer) and put it in the ROOT of your SD card as boot.elf
Wii: Put your SD card in your Wii and turn it on.
Wii: Go into the Wii Message Board and navigate to "Today", "Yesterday" or "Two days ago".
Wii: Click on the appropriate envelope, sit back and prepare for the hacking glory.
On Computer: Copy the private directory from the [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] to the root of your SD card.

What is Homebrew?
Unofficial software created for a platform by its users, without the involvement of the vendor. While some vendors support or ignore homebrew, most video game companies (including Nintendo) disapprove and make efforts to prevent it, due to the potential for unofficial software to brick the system or be used for piracy.
Does Homebrew cost money?
No. Everything is absolutely free. If you have paid for homebrew, you have been scammed.
Is it illegal to install the Homebrew Channel?
No. But it will void your Wii's warranty, and Nintendo may refuse to do in and out of warranty repairs on it, such as disc drive replacements.
What is the root of my SD card?
A place on your SD card that is not inside any folders.
