Apple macs are completely overrated, I say this because you pay over 1,000 pounds for a computer because it is made by apple. You could get twice as much as the specs for the same price if it wasn't apple.

What do you guys think of this, mis apple worth it or not?

Don't get me wrong but there computers look good, but if you had any other computer you could just buy an case and better monitor, makes no sense to me.

People pay for brand names. I is a status symbol like Beats, Rolex, and Louis Vuitton. Also, it is less likely to get a virus because the majority of viruses are made for PC.(It isn't invincible.)

I used to be an Apple fanboy, and unfortunately I still am a bit. I own a 13" original MacBook, an iPod 3rd Gen, iPhone 4, Apple TV (which is actually great but an expensive version of a simple HDMI to computer cable) and a 21.5" iMac. The problem is, not only do they release a new generation of every Apple item every year which makes your current item outdated within 6 months of buying it usually, but they also break down within 2 years. AppleCare lasts 1 year and it seems to be a curse that as soon as it runs out of warranty, the device will select auto-destruct mode.

My iPod pretty much died ages ago (never dropped it or anything) so I got an iPhone 4 almost 2 years ago now. It's showing signs of wear and tear, getting really slow and it makes a horrible clicking sound if I press down on the back of the phone towards the camera (which was faulty once).

An actual key FELL OFF my MacBook about 2 years ago after 18 months of owning it and it is INCREDIBLY slow now. I actually did a full wipe of the system as I transferred everything over to my iMac and it's still atrocious (as bad as my first IBM ThinkPad T41, oh god.)

My iMac recently had 2 equivalents of a Blue Screen of Death within the space of a month after 2 years on the dot of owning it (it's the July 2010 model) and my wireless keyboard is 100% dead, I even tried using a aluminium foil trick to make the batteries last longer and to make it work which is ridiculous for a 50 pound keyboard. My Apple TV is in perfect working order after owning it for about a year and I don't use it as much as my other devices so I pray it won't just die one day when I turn it on but we'll see...

All I know is I'm going to slow down on buying Apple devices for sure, I can buy an amazing computer for the same price as this iMac I'm on now and that's definitely my next target.

Apple, while overrated, they do make nice laptops. Also, not all of their products are overpriced:

iPad 3- Competitively priced, plus no other manufacturer has been able to bring a Retina-like display
Macbook Air- Competitively priced, within 100-200 dollars of competition
Macbook Pro w/Retina Display- Considering the Retina display, thin profile, light weight, and good specs, even though it's expensive, it's a good deal.

However others are:
iPhone 4S- Outdated hardware, every flagship Android phone from 2010+ is better
Macbook Pro 13"- You can find a better laptop overall for 400+ cheaper

First of all apple care is 3 years, and standard warranty is 1 year. I have had my macbook pro for 2 years and it still runs the same as the day I got it. To be honest I think you either have horrible luck, or you treat your stuff like sh*t.

Jesus Christ enough already, who cares if YOU think they are overrated?

I don't, a lot of people here do. But no one that I work with does. Who cares? If you don't like one don't buy one but going around whining about is annoying as hell.
