I've updated to the new dashboard and party chat doesnt work for me? I can see peoples chat things moving but i cant hear them..

nope mine works fine might just be your mic or summin mate have a look at it, or reset your router so you go off XBL then sign in again ?

It's a software problem as when I unplug my chat cable or go to play through speakers i can hear people..

This has happened before.. maybe i'm not explaining it well enough but no, they have not.

so i can hear people when it is set to "play through both" but not when it is set to play through headset.. it sounds distorted when its on play through both though.
