My question is every time im on my macbook for a prolonged time period it tends to freeze and say i need to restart my computer, why does it freeze?

Return it and buy a Thinkpad. In all seriousness, if you really did just buy it, return it to the Apple store and see what they can do since it'll probably save you from future problems.

i live in canada and there is no apple store where i live
