The flashing green light meens that the power to the disc drive has been getting disconnected. If you have ever disconected your disc drive from your xbox's motherboard, the power cord to the drive is not as firm while it is in the disc drive. After I dissasembled my xbox for the first time and then put it together again, this happened to me a few days after putting it back together. If you have never taken apart your xbox, there is still a good chance that this is your problem. The way that I fixed it was I just took it apart again and carefully but with force, reconnected the disc drive power cable and the problem has not returned since. If you are not worried about voiding your microsoft warrenty on the console, you can take it apart yourself and do what I just told you. If you want to keep your warrenty, call microsoft and send it in to them. It will not be free to ship it in, as you will have to pay shipping. HOPE THIS HELPS AND HAVE A GREAT DAY!

That happens when your DVD drive isn't plugged in.

Just push the disc drive in and that might help.
