Although it's a game from 2006, I strongly doubt you'll be able to run it reasonably well. Stick with it on a console. Your hardware is extremely weak.

Try playing it with a lower resolution. I did it with skyrim and it runs pretty smooth. The text and UI will be a little smaller but it should still run.

If you're saying the laptop was weak, she dropped it off of a 35ft balcony.

Nope, resolution is a huge factor in performance. Play BF3 at 1366 x 768 and then at 1080p, you'll see a huge performance difference.

Even though your current PC isn't that great, type "TLB" in the command console of the game. Should be able to run it fairly smoothly.
