If I had a choice, I would carry an m4 ar, and a colt 45. Both use very common ammunition. 45. caliber ammunition is also starting to be used by the U.S Marine corps, so in the event of everything going to hell and back. that caliber would would be much easier to trade with due to its increasing need.

Why am I posting... Oh well.

Ruger 10/22 with a sound suppressor, banana magazine, and Eotech sight with a magnifier. Lighteight, dead silent, easy to maintain, and .22 cartidges are extremely common as well as easy to carry. Glock 17 Gen 4 as well because it's indestructible and just won't quit. Also suppressed.

Live on a houseboat or yacht, fish and purify water with evaporation, wait it out. They can't swim.

I would say the thing that America was founded on, guns (and ammunition), they may not kill them (depending on who you talk to) but it will slow them, allowing you to get to a car, or a refuge.

People choosing guns are silly. You will eventually run out of ammo. What you need is something to slice and dice. But a gun doesn't hurt either.
