Hey guys, so I've thought about upgrading my computer, but I quite frankly don't have enough money. I was wondering whether or not it's a smart idea to just upgrade my graphics card, I may be able to afford a GTX 460, but I'm worried that it's going to be bottlenecked by my current CPU. Here are my specs:

Mobo - P5N32-E SLI
GPU - GeForce 8800 GTS 512mb SLI(x2)
CPU - Q6600 @2.4Ghz

I was over on overclockers.net and someone posted a similar question and someone suggested they overclock their CPU to avoid the bottleneck. I was just wondering is this a good idea? Oh and this build is about 4 years old, and I know overclocking lowers the lifespan of a CPU so yeah, is this a good idea or not?

I would not even bother spending money on outdated hardware. You could get a $20 Hyper 212 and see for yourself. If you can't afford it right now, stick with console gaming.
