Before I start, I realize you Halo fanboys are about as ignorant and closed minded as a COD fanboy, so don't post on here if you are a Halo fanboy or COD fanboy.
Back on topic. besides new weapons, new multiplayer maps, a new story line, and some new multiplayer features/changes, how is Halo 4 going to be different from Reach. When COD makes those changes I just listed they're putting out the same game over again, but when Halo does it, they're some how revolutionizing the gaming industry, so that's why I'm asking.
Don't bring up graphics because if you all actually cared about graphics you would be gaming on a PC. Also I know this is irrelevant but I know someone will say COD is an easy game for dumb little kids. I've been playing Halo since I was 9 years old, I was real good at it and it was easy and hell, having shields doesn't make the game any harder or easier than COD. The only hard fps out is CS.
Also I don't hate Halo or anything, I have the limited edition preordered. I use to be a huge Halo fanboy until I got COD4 for christmas. Sometimes you might see me defending Halo on the COD forums or defending COD on here

I see that Halo is actually taking some pages out of other FPS's book. They are putting some customizable classes, in-game joining, ordinance drops (point streak type things.) I don't see where they are revolutionizing anything though. It's just they didn't make a game last year so everyone is jumping on the hype train. I love both series, though I play CoD online more. I find a lot of little kids in Halo so I don't know where people get that they are in CoD. I find a lot of people that just started playing the game without mics. I hear kids at times, but it's usually the player's kid in the background. I used to run over people in Halo 2 with one of my friends. We hit level 36 and 37 legit, but got modded on and lost them. Halo isn't hard like people make it seem, I just haven't played it in a while (well for large amounts of time.) Halo's frame rate does bother me at times though (especially after playing CoD.) The thing that bothers me about Halo the most is when you play alone, which is what I am usually doing. People on your team quit out and no one can join. I just get stuck against a whole team. This Halo may pull me back in since others can join. People say things about CoD's graphics and whatnot, but their sells are exteme. People have to take into account that the disk most likely doesn't have much room for changes (plus the story was the same theme so there is that.) I really like to see what they do on the next gen consoles.

And Reach certainly was as good as Halo 3.

Anyways, the only 'Revolutionary' Halo Games IMO were Halo CE and Halo 2, that's it. Not even Halo 3, although I thought it was an outstanding game and it definitely wasn't Halo Wars (even though it's the best selling Console RTS game it was just another game), ODST or Reach.
Bungie changed the feel of Halo in Reach if you're comparing it to Halo 3. They did these small things that effected the gameplay like -
- Lowered Jump Height
- Lowered Walking Speed
- Made the Banshee OP
- Made the Vehicles less Powerful
- Added Armor Abilities (Not really 'small')
- Slower Shield Recharge rate
- Added Health Packs
- Loadouts
- Bloom
- GRENADES
and most importantly they didn't work on a great ranking system that made a majority of the fans happy..
You could easily tell a difference between Halo Games, a lot of things play differently, for better or for worse. In Call of Duty, not really..
Now as for the changes from Reach - Halo 4? Besides the new game modes (ex - Spartan Ops) and everything else you said we can't speak of (Join in Progress, etc.) I'm not sure.. if you're comparing Halo 4 to Halo 3, then there are a lot of things to discuss.

They've completely changed the sandbox once again.
Everybody has sprint now as well as an armor ability.
People spawn with different weapons. (classes)
The BR is now a piece of shit.
The difference between Halo and CoD adding news guns is that new guns in Halo are usually nothing like anything else in the sandbox but when CoD adds a new gun, there's nothing that really sets it apart from the others guns except its name and what it looks like.

P.S -
I've never played COD 2 and Call of Duty 3, so how the hell should I know if they've changed anything, they most likely didn't since it was Call of Duty 4 that changed stuff out of the games in the Call of Duty Series. I never heard any Call of Duty 2/3 stuff, EVER.. so they were probably just another shooter.. Honestly, I've never even heard of Call of Duty until Modern Warfare 2.
As for the Fanboy thing, GET OVER IT.
