Remember guys this is not the same point system thats on MW3. If you do any action on MW3 it just counts as a "slot" being filled up. While on Black Ops 2 its actual points.

Heres some information from examiner.com:

Instead of destroying a kill streak and getting a point toward your 3 point UAV, the point system its self has been redesigned. Treyarch is actually using the points you get for something other than lobby leader board bragging rights. With a UAV being worth 375 points, players simply can't get a flag capture and two kills to start the UAV spam like seen in MW3. This time around, a kill is worth 100 points but capturing a flag in domination could net you 250 points. The attempt to capture the flag is 100 points, completing the objective is an extra 150, giving you two and a half kills worth of points. To make the focus on running the objective higher then say, taking out air support, the rewarded points are scaled different. The multiplayer trailer showed us that taking out a "Dragon Fly" is only worth 50 points.

And also, if you die you lose your score streak. I wanted to add that so others will know it wasn't like MW3's support package. You can actually lose these like killstreaks, but it's all based off of your score.
