burrow900 wrote I would keep with the i7 if you want to stay on the safer side. After the new consoles come, I imagine threading is going to be taken advantage a lot more. Considering the tremendous amount of cores that are rumored to be in the next generation. And if it's going to use more cores on PC. From what I've read, DX12 which is supposedly coming out in 2013 will do just that. And overkill is never bad. omg, he has 16gb of ram oh no. At least he won't have to replace it for a long time, even when DDR4 comes out, he won't have to replace it.

tl;dr if you want something that you won't have to replace for a very long time, get an i7 and 16gb, if you just want gaming for now and want to upgrade as tech improves, get i5 and 8.

What you think that's going to happen does not equal that it is going to happen.

You should never base your recommendations off of rumours.

Buying a PC that does not suit you and having overkill parts is extremely ridiculous considering you could save money and get the same if not better performance.

By the time he actually uses the i7 and 16GB's of RAM, it won't be relevant considering there will be something newer and better.

finally thankyou

He gives you false information and you thank him.

Zero sense given.

Because I give the Biggest Shiz in the world about having 16gbs of RAM and i7. icare

yeah I'm giving him so much false info. If he wants to get an i7, let him get it, they're out there to buy for a reason? They sell 16gb of RAM for a reason too, so people can use it. And there are still people out there using 4gb of DDR2 ram, and I bet in their time people were like omg that's so much over kill, why would you ever get that, and they're smiling right now because they still don't have to upgrade, and their mobo can still handle any gpu.

They exist for a reason? No way, man. I thought Intel released it just to release it to show that their top dog. Thanks for reminding me.

Just because they sell 'X' product does not mean it's suitable for Joe Blow over here who wants to play COD, no does it? You're spending more than you need to and you're still getting crap tier parts. If you don't realize this, you're delusional - than again, you're the same idiot who recommends GTX 480's in 2012 so we all know you have no credibility.

In their time, aka 4 years ago. That is not relevant. Hell, you could still rock that and it'd be fine.

480 is bad? You have NO CLUE what you're talking about.

If you're looking for a video card today? Yes, it's horrible.

It's a huge power hog and gets really hot.

I've seen a GTX 570 the other week on NCIX for $239.99 and it gets relatively the same performance but it does not have the cons that the 480 has. Nvidia is not supporting that card anymore.

All I can do is lol. It may be a power hog, but if you're not stupid, it's a good card.

You're LOL'ing because you realize how much of an idiot you are.

Not only is the GTX 570 cheaper than the GTX 480 ( even cheaper on other websites ), but it uses less power, produces less noise, and is a much cooler card and does generate as much heat as an oven. Also, it's a slightly better card that's actually supported.

So tell me, what normal person with a brain would choose the 480?

Yes, and a simple Google search could have answered that in no time.
