xxdarkangelx8 wrote alright let's try this again. im looking to modify Xbox 360 consoles and am looking for some ideas. some ideas that have came up in previous conversations were upgrading the ram or possibly the CPU though I'm not fully aware of how this would work. another thought that came up was installation of a solid state drive (SSD) which could decrease load times but i have heard conflicting reports on how effective this really is. I have the equipment for whatever you can suggest and have a couple boards to test on. could you or anybody else on ttg for that matter brainstorm some ideas for an improvement that could be made? I'm just a kid so I don't have the technological understanding that I'm sure some of you who arnt leeches have and I would appreciate any constructive feedback. Trollin, I'm sorry for jumping on your case, though your response to my first post could have been worded to teach me and not to point out how worthless my ideas were. It's obvious you know something about electronics so I would appreciate your feedback and ideasYou need to be more realistic in what you want to do, Just saying if you don't have to equipment to do something why try it.

well I have plenty of xboxes and several techs who went to school for this kind of stuff working with me. so though I am inexperienced in the realm of chip replacment and such, they are not. I just wanted to allow ttg to be a part of ideas for possible boxes I build and modifications I look into offering. and to the person who said post pics, you can bet on it when I have some good ones, and I do like the idea of a cd changer to have multiple disks thanks for putting that on the table. and trollin, what is more realistic? I think your missing the point of this thread. I'm not asking if my initial ideas are good. I was asking what your ideas are that could be employed to the other consoles such as the cd changer and such

trollin-dirty wroteI do have the equipment and manpower to do it. though myself I don't completely understand the process I never said i wasn't capable of doing hardware mods. I'm not the only one that is working on this, just the only one asking for the ideas of other people to help build what the public would find appealing.xxdarkangelx8 wrote alright let's try this again. im looking to modify Xbox 360 consoles and am looking for some ideas. some ideas that have came up in previous conversations were upgrading the ram or possibly the CPU though I'm not fully aware of how this would work. another thought that came up was installation of a solid state drive (SSD) which could decrease load times but i have heard conflicting reports on how effective this really is. working on prototypes now. doing a jtagged console in a pc case. we are up in the air with what type of cut we want but some possibilities are POW MIA symbol cut into side of black pc case, plexiglassed over, with white LEDs as a first one to raffle off at some local fairs and such. looking into how to make the cd changer work but have to look more into that first to find out how to make it work. power button on tower will be the white x lot up green similar to what you would see on a computer. since its a jtag we are looking into getting a terabyte hdd and mounting it in the case with the board. after that one is done we are looking into water cooled ones as well to test out. that Proto will probably take a little while to get in motion though. can anybody point me to a good tutorial and site for RGH equipment? after I master Jtagging I want to spread my abilities to include RGH too. anybody have some custom case ideas for our protos? either Pc case or Xbox case? feel free to post/PM
