Some of you who took philosophy at school might have heard about this but there's a theory that your existence is made only through your perception. Your conscience perceives the world around you and if it cannot perceive something then it doesn't exist to you.

For instance, if your parents are in bed then your living room, kitchen and toilets don't exist to them. Say you have a dog asleep in the living room it is being perceived by the dog, so it exists. Meanwhile, to you, your parents don't even exist right now. But they exist to themselves.

This might seem like a load of bull but don't judge just yet.

There is an experiment called 'The Double Slit' experiment.
The Double Slit Experiment shows that an electron, fired at a wall with two slits in it, will sometimes go through one, sometimes through the other, and sometimes it will go through both slits simultaneously [meaning, a single thing will be in two places at once].
The twist is, if you try and observe the electron at the moment it passes through the slits it then goes back to behaving like a normal electron, and innocently shoots through one of the slits.

This proves that matter changes according to whether it is being perceived or not.
