i have the Microsoft data transfer cable
like this one

ok i set it up using modio and xplorer360 and everything was fine i could access the HDD and take data from it
now all of a sudden its stopped working as in nothing at all when i plug it in or out the pc doesnt even make the new device sound
any ideas anyone the person who helps me fix it get all my rep points-i am on windows xp

tried that aswell still no joy i even opened it to see if a wire had come loose inside still no joy

does your computer read anything else like a flash drive. try to use xport and turn uac off
