You don't care. That's interesting. Usually when I spend a lot of money I do some research, but you know, each is to his own. It's not a matter of it's good for us considering it's your soon to be machine. You could of got better for less.

Not once did I even say gaming. The thing is, you can get something better and more reliable for the same cost if not cheaper whilst having more options in regards to customization from the start.

im not a person to know much about computers and such. but im sure something of the price would be good for whatever he needs

For what he intends to do with it, the core components like the CPU is quite overkill. He could spend $50 on a G550 and $100 on a Crucial M4 SSD and it'll be generally 3 x faster at tasks for a fraction of the cost.

I also dont want to deal with the parts. I want to buy it prebuilt. Thats my preference

There are alternatives out there even though I disagree spending $100's more for Mr. 16 year old Asian male in the back doing a 30 minute job for you.
