I love rumors as much as the next person, and this is exactly that, a rumor. None of us know what will actually happen, but in this case, there is some intriguing information that may just make this true.
Back in May, Bethesda was awarded a trademark for the name Hearthfire, the equivalent of September in the world of Elder Scrolls. There are a lot of smaller rumors saying that this is a sign that the DLC will be released in September, but it seems far more likely that it will come out in time for Halloween.
This is because the name Hearthfire is also related to the fictional ceremony called Tales and Tallows, which has been long associated with necromancy. If the game is indeed about zombies, it would make sense that Bethesda would want to tie the DLC into the most haunted holiday of the year, and the timetable does not seem so farfetched. In fact, since the trademark was granted in May, it would mean the new DLC could have started production after the development of Dawnguard (meaning the team would be largely free to work on it).
Whether or not this turns out to just be a rumor remains to be seen, but I for one am buying in on this one. A new DLC coming out three months after the last one sounds right to me, but what do you guys think?
Is this just a rumor, or could we expect a zombie themed DLC in time for Halloween?

Well I do know you can buy land, build your own house, and take care of children. It costs 400 MSP. What I read on IGN.
