real question is are they macs good computers .. answer , no ( my personal opinion anyway )

do not get a mac for gaming.

The Macs are pretty bad for gaming, not only because they over price everything, but the fact that OS X cannot run Direct X. The only way you can run Direct X on a mac is if you use parallels or bootcamp (idk if bootcamp is still around). And even then, it wont use the full potential of your hardware. BUT there are games that work perfectly fine on OS X. This is because they are written in Open GL. For example, iLoL, or the Mac version of CoD4. This is a HUGE hassle for game developers to have to code the game not only in Direct X, c++/c# (for consoles), and Open GL.

if you cant build your own just go to cyberpowerpc.com or something like that and choose your own hardware..still cheaper

You cant download to many games on it :c i think you'd have to find a way to get windows 7 onto it, at least thats what my friend did.
