AN 85-YEAR-OLD granny was left stranded on the viewing deck of the Olympic Parks iconic Orbit Tower for THREE DAYS! Muriel Patterson had only three miniatures of gin and a bag of Dolly Mixtures to sustain her during the 69-hour ordeal in the observation deck 278 feet above the by-then-deserted Games arena. She was eventually discovered and led to safety by a Lithuanian security guard who was searching for dropped money.

Am I the only one thinking:
a) The granddaughter left her there anyway (read whole story) so it's her fault
b) the gran could have walked down the ramp
c) its pathetic that the granddaughter wants compensation and that

Oh god I'm stuck in a tower, and for some strange reason I didn't think to walk down the stairs?

They may have locked the doors or something, and the lady looks quite old, it may not have been in her best decision to try and walk down all those stairs.
She easily could have fallen and gotten hurt.

That would be scary and wouldn't she die of hunger at her age for 3 days with no liquids and food??
