I saw a well messed up film sort of to do with this called, The Lawnmower Man. It's definitely worth a watch, I watched it in College while studying Computer Games Development. It's got some sweet Tron style 3D animation in parts.

Wasn't that because she felt she was being held back in class doing things like 2+2 while she could have been doing something like quantum theory by then, so because her brain was feeling frustrated, it allowed her to get the power of telekinesis.

I think I confused myself there

I would probably be a lot smarter.
