I recently had a post closed with over 40 replies to it for "asking for rep" where as if the mods actually read the complaint they would have seen that I never asked for rep, all I asked was if they could thank the topic once I have finished. If any mods see this, get your act together, I dont want this happening to me or anyone else. #RantOver

Asking for rep or asking for thanks is against the rule which is why your post got closed. Even if you are indirectly asking for either. example: "Rep is optional, but appreciated"

Well, I am sure asking for thanks is the same punishment as asking for rep, so that was a deserved warning.

Yes, we do.

We also get really annoyed with people that break the rules then complain when we enforce the punishments that go along with it.

Asking for Rep/Thanks is against the rules, even if you say it's optional.

If someone wanted to thank your topic after you made whatever then they would have, no need for you to post it.

P.S - Your warning was asking for thanks, not rep. ;)
