Atmosphere/Slug is and will probably remain the greatest lyricist, so all these 'new' shitty rappers with upbeat songs can suck a fat one

Neko wrote I agree totally with Jal, Logic is good - but very repetitive it would be good for him to change it up once in a while.

I can't stand Hopsin, I feel as if he's made his name by turning people into Sheep. He mentions on every track that he isn't mainstream and how mainstream is so terrible. I think it's more of a plan to get famous, I'm sure we've all thought about it at one point of another, if you were to rap like pac and biggie, Big L etc you'd gain a lot of fame, I think that was his idea - to try to branch away and let everyone know.

I can't decide on this generation, but I can say the biggest fan base of any rapper seems to be Lil Wayne. Don't say he's bad he's really not, there's a reason he has a bajillion fans. I don't like him personally, so it's not biased answer at all.
The only reason people like Lil Wayne is because he's all over tv and radio. People listen to the radio and hear him so they think "Well this on the radio so this must be the best music out there and everyone else is bad" Slaughterhouse > MMG, Hopsin > Lil Wayne Tyler The Creator > Drake. And I never listened to Logic but I'm sure he must be good since I never hear about him on tv or the radio.

well mmg is better than slaughterhouse... you cant put hopsin and lil wayne in the same category. Hopsin should be placed with tyler the creator. Just because lil wayne isnt good any more doesnt mean he was never good..listen to the carter 3, decation 3, no ceilings and tell me he isnt good. same goes for drake. he just hasnt released anything yet

Logic's great! He has potential. Greatest rapper around? I don't know. He could do it. We'll have to wait for him to get more exposure and then we'll see what he does with it.

I started to listen to one of his songs, jeez what a mistake.

"All I do is rhyme, all I do is get this money
All I do is grind"

As soon as I heard that I stopped listening, same old crap rich b!tch thinking he's working so hard and his life is so bad and he's so hardcore haha yeah right.

He is definitely not the best rapper of this generation. Immortal Technique, OFWGKTA, Funk Volume, Diabolic, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar and others are all better than Logic and they're around this moment in time. If by generation you mean all of the 2000's then hell no is he even in the top 50.

His dad walked out on him and his mom tried to kill him multiple times because he's half black.

every song he's made has been non profitable.

the only way he makes money is from his concerts, im not saying Logic is 'hardcore' but he definitely doesn't have it easy.

*ALSO* Logic wants to be an inspiration for younger kids, he doesn't rap about weed, killing people and sex. he said "All that stuff is good to rap about once in a while but i don't want to focus my career on it." (<--- i summed up that interview for you) That already makes him better then 995 of the rappers out there now.

His dad walked out on him and his mom tried to kill him a couple of times? Wtf has that got to do with what I was saying but if you insist I'll reply. Millions of people probably in USA alone won't even see their father and plenty of rappers have had ruff relationships with their moms ( cougheminemcough ).

Also OFWGKTA upload all their albums online for free so people don't have to buy them and they make their money from merchandise, do you see them crying?

If you still think MMG is better I'm sorry but you're just an idiot. Stop watching BET and go listen to some good music.
