Im sorry if this is posted in the wrong area, but i presume I would be able to get just as much help. I am looking to buy a new Macbook to replace my old one and I am really undecided. It is between the 15-inch: 2.6 GHz Macbook pro and the 15-inch: 2.3GHz Retina display Macbook pro. Also I am willing to look at a Laptop with similar spec if you could suggest one that would be great, but I would appreciate if you could give me an opinion first on the Macbook's.

The rMBP is the only thing in its class as of right now so it's sort of hard to judge it ( still not a finalized product, many issues regarding it ) - scrolling issues, resolution on web pages, heating, no upgrad-ability). The non rMBP is severely overpriced and should not even be considered. The base MBA is also a very good Ultrabook if you're willing to go down to the 13'' size.
