It shouldnt be doing that, I will look into it but for now you should try flashing back your original nand and rewriting xell with J-Runner and Flasher... as already suggested.

Use the way I posted (dashlaunch installer ---> system info) for the cpu key
then build a new image and flash with flash360
then build a new image and flash with flash360

System Info with the dashlaunch install app is the quickest and best suggestion I have seen in here yet ... Unless he wants to run Xell homebrew it's not necessary for him to launch Xell when DL displays that information for you.

You can get Exploit360 and open your current nand, it will display your CPU key.

What are you talking about? He needs to get his CPU key ... The NAND doesn't have the CPU key stored anywhere in it , it's on the CPU inside the console.... Exploit360 is an image building tool and an old one at that ...
Get dashlaunch , put the installer's default.xex in the root of a flash drive and it will be the first thing that pops up .... hit RB until you get to a menu with an option System Info , or System Settings ( I forget exaclty) and click it ... Your CPU key will be listed at the top, and you will also see controls for fan speed and temperature settings.
