Firstly, lets establish what is a youth player. I believe personally a youth player is 21 or under. There is a difference between youth and young so don't think I am calling players who are 22 old. Secondly, this is all my opinion. I am a Chelsea fan so you may believe I am bias with 1 or 2 of my points however I try my best not to be. The List

[25 - Fetfatzidis]
A huge talent for the future of Greek football. Playing his trade at Olympiacos, the skilful winger/central forward at just 21 has become a fan favourite. He is certainly one of a handful of Greek talents that could certainly become a household name.

[24 - James Rodriguez]
Considered as the future of Colombian football, James certainly is endeavouring a lot of pressure from his fans. With 15 goals and 8 assists last season, James has the opportunity to grow even further this season as the departure of former strike partner 'Hulk' has opened up a gap for a new leader.

[23 - Mattia Destro]
The Italian winger/ central forward has already been capped for Italy and was rather impressive in his game against England. Scoring 12 in 26 appearances has already meant Destro has been tipped to move onto a bigger club such as one of the 2 Milan clubs.

[22 - Jack Rodwell]
Recently transfered Jack Rodwell has a big task ahead of him. Breaking into the star studded Man City midfield. Even with injuries, the city midfield has the most depth in Europe. However, should he fulfil this task, Rodwell will certainly go down as one of the greatest holding English midfielders for many years.

[21 - Thibaut Courtois]
A Chelsea player (refraining from bias) who has recently began the second spell at loan to Athletico Madrid. Being a young talented goalkeeper is rather frustrating at Chelsea considering none will be able to take the ropes from Petr Cech in a hurry. To avoid halting his development, he has been loaned to Athletico for 2 seasons and will spend a season on loan at a premier league team (to prevent doing what De Gea started off doing). Courtois had an instant impact at Athletico making remarkable saves against both Madrid and Barcelona. His form led him to recieve interest from Real Madrid which is a remarkable statement.

[20 - Iker Munian]
A big spanish talent, Munian has had a suprisingly huge influence on Bilbao's style of play over the last year. A big star in the Europa league, a cap for Spain, an impressive start to his career. Remember his name, for he will be starting regularly for Spain and a big club in a few years.

[19 - Thiago Alcantara]
Future Xavi, this man is breathtaking. His footballing brain works similar to those with 10-15 years of football experience. With a brilliant first touch, and fantastic pass, Thiago would certainly be placed higher in this list had it not been for Xavi-Cesc-Iniesta partnership.

[18 - Philippe Coutinho]
After going through a period of uncertainty, Philippe Coutinho is now back in Inter Milans plans for future. The Brazilian international was loaned to Espanyol for the second half of last season which did a world of good for the young creative midfielder. His passing sharpened, his awareness peaked and he looked comfortable orchestrating attacks. However, we are unlikely to see him playing much internationally with Oscar-Lucas-Ganso all growing by the day.

[17 - Lewis Holtby]
Schalke's second biggest young talent has become a key figure for his team over the last few years. With only one year on his contract, the midfielder may be off to another club. He has captained the German under 21s and had a chance to play for England which he did not take, instead playing for Germany in which his debut against Azerbaijan sparked the attention of the world.

[16 - Gaston Ramirez]
After having breakthrough season in the Serie A, and being linked with Spurs & Liverpool, who would have thought he would have completed a 12 million transfer to Southampton. Having played a major role in Bologna's season, the playmaker finished last season with eight goals and five assists. He demonstrated himself as a very capable free-kick taker during the Olympics strengthening his case.

[15 - Marc Andre Ter Stegen]
Despite having made just the one appearance for Germany's Under-21 side, Marc-Andr ter Stegen is already making his impressions on the senior squad and pressing Manuel Neuer for a starting spot. Keeping clean sheets in almost half of his games, with a rather poor defence is a formidable achievement for the young keeper.

[14 - Alex Oxlade Chamberlain]
Raised as a winger, 'The Ox' has recently voiced his ideas of becoming a central midfielder due to the departure of Alex Song to Barcelona. Having shown his ability for both club and country, Alex will certainly look to cement his future as an England regular in the near future.

[13- Danny Welbeck]
A big English talent and regular starter internationally... however unlikely to start many games again for his club after falling down in the pecking order to RVP and Rooney with Chicarito fast behind his heels, Danny needs to work hard to ensure his talent is not put to waste.

[12 - Phil Jones]
Despite having a slight hault in development due to injury, I cannot deny the centre backs talent. Coming in with the job of replacing Vidic/Ferdinand, Phil is an absolute menace attacking wise (a rather unusual statement for a centre back) however this works against him too meaning opponents can counter attack against one less defender. This has stopped him being one of the top 10.

[11 -Andre Schurrle]
One of a number of German youngsters being eased into the nation's senior team, Andr Schrrle has been making waves in the German top flight for some time now. The 21-year-old made 30 starts for Bayer Leverkusen in his debut season at the BayArena, making six assists and scoring seven goals in the process.

[10 - Stephan El Shaarawy]
Already tipped for Italian young player of the year, Stephans talent is drawing more attention than his wacky hairstyle as he is set to become part of any AC Milan revival. Having recently put pen to paper on a 5 year contract, he is going nowhere in a hurry.

[9 - Jack Wilshere]
I cannot deny his ability as a rival London fan. He is brilliant, certainly a player who can match Gerrards ability. Jack has made a big impact and has been missed during his injury spell which is nearing 1 year. Lets hope the injury doesn't affect his talent like we have seen with many other young players. (The year out is why he is not higher in this list)

[8 - Julian Draxler]
Having come to the club as a seven-year-old, Draxler is now greatly influencing the fortune of the club he grew up with, establishing himself as a starter since making his debut in 2011. So far this season, he has made three starts scoring 2 goals and a assisting a goal too. Scary stuff from the striker.

[7 - Oscar]
Recently transfered to Chelsea, Oscar is a remarkable talent. The former Internacional youth prodigy earned massive plaudits for his performances in the Brasileiro Serie A. Recently talking to the media, Oscar said he prefers to see his team mates score than to score for himself. I, personally am extremely excited to watch him excel in the worlds best league.

[6 - Xherdan Shaqiri]
The swiss talent has recently moved to Bayern Munich in search of regular european football. On the note of european football, I will always remember Xherdan for his destruction of Man Utd during the second leg of the champions league group stage game. His ability to cross and pass was exquisite.

[5 - Christian Eriksen]
The Ajax playmaker finished last season with 19 assists and seven goals in 33 starts for the Dutch champions. Unlikely to stay at Ajax for much longer, the playmaker certainly looks set to be a world class playmaker for club and country. A host of competition for his signature will arise the day he announces his intention to leave.



[4 - Lucas Moura]
Having scrapped United for P$G, the young Brazilian may be heavily over rated but still deserves credit for his pace and skill on the ball. He has 15 caps for his country and joins the french league in January 2013. Having been shunned during the olympics due to Oscars commanding role, Lucas will be certainly looking to get his national career back on track.


[3 - Mario Gotze]
Such a crazy talent, the best young passer in the game has been essential in the development of other young players such as Kagawa and Lewandowski. With no reason yet to move, Gotze will cerainly form a formidable partnership with Mezut Ozil over the next few years which could give Xavi and Iniesta something to worry about.


[2 - Eden Hazard]
I want to put him as number 1 as I believe he is equal with 1 on ability and doesn't flop like a fish when tackled but I feel that may be seen as bias. Never the less, the young Belgium winger recently completed his high profile switch to Chelsea over City, United, Barcelona, Madrid and pretty much every other financially secure big european team. With 6 assists and 1 goal in his first 3 BPL games as well as achieving man of the match in all of them and being voted BPL player of the month, Hazard has already shown he is worth the money. Certainly, a huge talent.



[1 - Neymar]
With elegant skills that could match Ronaldinho's and pace to give Robinho a match for his money. Despite not playing a game of European football, Neymar is worth 45 million and both Barcelona and Real Madrid are battling for his signature. Probably the best thing to happen to Brazil since Pele, he is already a big name and will certainly strengthen as a player once he moves. His only downside is his constant diving.
