The Earth will be obliterated when the sun dies: Supernova or not.

Human life most likely will go through a tough war.
But, I just can't see there not being, at least, two people on Earth at any time as a result of something we do. We can't nuke everywhere.
It would have to be something like a meteor that will sterilize the planet completely.

Just my opinion.

But seriously, no-one really knows in my opinion. You could have a 'guess' I suppose. Could be today, could be 5543 years away. One day it will, I read somewhere that in millions or billions of years the sun will ether blow up or slowly get closer to the earth and you know what happens next. But don't trust me on that! It was something along them lines.

It will not be in our lifetime...

I know that around the year 2030(or some time close to that) an asteroid will have a 1/300 chance of hitting the earth if it doesn't then the earth will be destroyed after 10(to the 100th power) due to matter just being to old. Its called Proton decay i think?
