Pretty much, when you redeem your code redeem it through Xbox.com not on the Xbox 360 Console.

Can someone please explain to me why one must redeem the code on Xbox.com?...instead of threw your console???

I have been entering them into my console using the redeem code opition without a problem???

So what is the point...why MUST IT BE DONE ON XBOX.COM IN BOLD LETTERS lol...

The code can be redeemed on the xbox 360 console. You don't have to redeem it on xbox.com

you don't have to make a new email address

for example if your name was Jack Daniel and your email address was JDaniel @ hotmail.com you would just change the hotmail part to .jp
