Well he wasn't thinking clearly or at all, he was consumed by anger for whatever reason and merely acted on impulse. This can make Anyone dangerous because there is an Increase in adrenaline and whatnot and because of that you feel less pain

there is an extent of OK (exception as a sresult of adrenazline and over excitement and then there is just plain wrong and this is one of them.
