my friend has brought a pro owned Xbox and the owner of it put a parental control on so he couldn't play 15+ and to remove this parental control he has to type in a pass code for what the persons favourite fictional character is? is there any way to remove the pass word or anyway you can think of to get around this. they also have no way of contacting the owner
thanks I will +rep for help

There is probably no way around it... sorry to tell you. I'm not 100% sure though.
Start guessing? And there has to be someway to contact the owner.

The only way is to get the owners' secret answer.
Unless you JTAG it, but it probably wont work.
Go to a gamestore and ask them.

Couldn't you just restore to factory default and use a different account or would the parental controls stop you from the factory reset?

TRY THIS
TEXT TUTORIAL
1. Go to System Settings
2. Go to Console Settings
3. Go to System Info
4. Once you get to the System Info page, you will press the button combonation of LT, RT, X, Y, LB, RB (This is the only option for this step)
5. Once you press those buttons in the order I typed them, press a next set of button combonations. There are many different to choose from, but start with the first one. The first button combination will work for most people, but if it does not you can keep going down the list until you find the one that works in your XBOX 360. This step will not show anything different, but you have to do it because the next step does.
HERE IS THE LIST OF BUTTON COMBINATIONS FOR STEP 5.
Y,A,RT,Y
Y,A,RT,ANY D-PAD DIRECTION
Y,A,RT,LEFT STICK CLICK
LT,RT,X,Y,LB,RB,A,A,LEFT,UP
LEFT STICK CLICK,RT,A,Y
ANY D PAD DIRECTION,RT,A,Y
A, A, A, A
6. You will get a message that pops up askng you if you want to reset your XBOX 360 settings. Click "Yes, reset settings"
Hope it helps
