It works with retail discs I just installed gta 4 stop postin if you dont know what your talkin about.

delete it from ur hdd then re install and then try it if that dosnt work 1 there is not enpugh space on hdd or disc is scrated

first check you can hear the disc spinning up!, i went through this about a month ago an it turned out my disc drive had died.

I had this problem yesterday. Open your dv drawer with the game in, load exe menu and click in the folder to install the game, it will open your dvd drive, count to 10 close it manually (by hand), wait until your xbox driv boots up and you hear the noise of the fans then press okor confirm. Exactly what I posted previously. And it works fine with retail games. I haven't used anything other than retail games.

i just got this problem and my disk drive works fine

My problem when this happened it would go 2% then back out... Solution was I was waiting 10 seconds instead of 5 seconds... When disk is reading at high speed then hit confirm + rep if helped
