First of all don't worry about that, its your money you can spend it however you want.
Now here is exactly how to do it, for you and others that are having trouble.

Things needed:
-JTAG xbox
-Retail xbox
-2 Ethernet Cables

Files needed:
-Title Update 7
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
-A modded default_mp.xex and a .dll file

To set up for systemlink:
1) Connect an Ethernet from the JTAG to your router
2) Connect the other Ethernet from your retail to the same router

To set up mods:
1) Put the TU7 file in HDD1:\Cache\(HERE)
2) Put the default and .dll in the directory where you copied MW2
-Example)HDD1:\Games\MW2\(HERE)
3) Launch the modded default_mp.xex and start a systemlink
4) Make sure to put Xbox live unlocks to ON
5) Join on retail
6) Use the mods

I downloaded it but where do u get the modded default_mp.xex
