For what his budget is he should be getting 16 gigs of ram.

there is no need for 16 gbs of ram though

An i7 is also not needed.

he has a budget of 2000 this pc is "future proof" also if he would do some video editing he would have hyper threading.

Unneeded CPU when a 2500k would serve him just as good.

Overpriced and underpowered closed loop POS after-market cooling. An NH-D14 / Phanteks destroys it.

Overpriced board. A $100 MSI Z77 G43 will serve him just as well. The difference between a $100 board and a $250 board is minor improvements that almost nobody uses ( more PCIE lines, on board physical ON / OFF buttons, dual BIOS ( meh ), a couple of more USB's, on board M-SATA, etc ). It sounds like a lot but it's not and the price is not justified.

Having a WD Black as a storage drive is...well...useless.

The HAF 932 is quite dated for what it is. A $125 HAFX-M is not only the correct size but it's a superior case ( it should be considering it's newish to the market ).

Picking a CM PSU over a more reputable Corsair / Seasonic / Rosewill does not make sense.

FYI, just because has 'X' budget does not mean you have to max it you just to max it out.

2.5/10 for the effort.
