UPDATE this currently only decompresses properly and is unable to compress

DECOMPRESSION

1.First download this click [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

2.go to my computer local disc (:C) and create a new folder called "borderlands2"

3.Place the borderlands2.exe in the folder

4.get your borderlands 2 save and use horizon or modio to go to the content folder and exstart the SaveGame.sav and then exstract this to the borderlands2 folder on the C: drive you just created

5.Open the cmd-search it in the start menu

6.Type exactly the following "cd C:\Borderlands2" then click ENTER

7.Type exactly the following "Borderlands2.exe" then click ENTER

8.Type exactly the following "borderlands2.exe -d SaveGame.sav save.decompress" then click ENTER

9.You now have a new file in your borderlands2 folder called "save.decompress"

10.Now use your hex editor of choice to edit the file

COMPRESSION

8.Type exactly the following "borderlands2.exe -c save.decompress SaveGame.sav" then click ENTER

9.You now have a new file in your borderlands2 folder called "SaveGame.sav.rebuilt"

10.Now just rename it to SaveGame.sav and replace the SaveGame.sav in the horizon or modio

As part of the rules can you please post a virus scan.
However, it does seem very reasonable and I (and many others) appreciate your contribution.

Ive got my tool working:)
So i can edit lvl, money, etc
However the save will need decompressing before use then re compressing to use on the console. But if i could get the algorithms for LVO decompression and compression, i could add this into my tool so it does it all in one. Hopefully i can get in touch with fairchild or kill-seth and see if they can help me out.

You need to be using your savegame.sav inside your actual savegame not the savegame itself.

Also, anyone have Skill IDs ect..?
