Ok you might find it funny that the two are in the same subject.

my friends car was just stolen and he left his iphone in the car . Do you need to have a tracking app to track it , Or can they track the phone with a wifi,4g signal?

if you could help that would be awesome don't want to stay on line at mac hahah.

if its from verizon they can track the location, but if its AT&T and he took the sim card out hes SOL.

I think you(him) can call up his service provider and get it tracked he should shut it down so they can not use it. But also did he get his car back?

Well we just need the car **** the iphone , But I think they can track it with a 3g,4g signal but ill just sit here until i get a email back from apple

From what I know, if it's a Verizon iPhone, they might be able to do something like that.

The only other option I'm aware of is Onstar :/

Download find my iPhone from the appstore on your phone then tell him too put his email address and password into your phone and it will find the phone,

Find my iPhone is an app made by apple so you can trust it, i use it all the time

This is what the app looks like and he puts HIS email and HIS password into there

Most phones these days can be tracked including the iPhone. Just tell the police and they'll get the service provider to track it.

Why do you think bad guys or spies always break their phones after using them?
