I've been off of xbox live for like a month now, and played halo 4 on a separate offline profile and memory unit. Does anyone think Microsoft will catch me and ban me even though i have no traces of playing halo 4 on my main profile, if i go back online today?

You should be fine to go back online as long as, like others have said, ensure your profile has not played the game and that all the Halo 4 data is completely clear from your hdd. I'd clear system cache on your current HDD just in case.
