These are all giant companies that have been successful for a very long time and with the most simple logos you can think of.

Not as simple as his design though.

Have you seen Intel?.... Don't even tell me Succesful comapanies cant be have extremely simple logos... B.O.T This is alright i suppose. It suits it's purpose i suppose. But it's not original. and that's what companies look for most. Something that will stand out. And really Pop, Something that will stand out from other Logos, This definately Screams the company name. But It just seems this Curvature with Text is done way too much.
