"Texas has approved a speed limit of 85 mph, the highest speed limit in the country and one of the highest in the world.
The Texas Transportation Commission has approved a speed limit of 85 mph between two of the state's largest metropolitan areas. The 41-mile toll road between Austin and Seguin will be the first with the raised limit starting in November. The road is 35 miles northeast of San Antonio and next to the busy interstate road 35 between Austin and San Antonio.

All of the roads in the US have a speed limit, the average being around 75 mph, with some areas in Texas and Utah reaching 80 mph.

The highest speed limit ever introduced was in Abu Dhabi between 2005 and 2010 where the limit was set at 99 mph.

What do you guys think of this? Is this new limit to much for us to handle? More/less accidents?
